CONTENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
Boca Raton, FL (May 10, 2010)—Information Television Network (ITV)—leading health and medical content producer and parent company of the innovative online health video site HealthScienceChannel.com—today announced its content partnership agreement with the fastest growing video distribution platform 5min Media. The relationship brings HealthScienceChannel.com’s premium broadcast quality and physician vetted health video—featured on networks such as PBS and Discovery—to 5Min Media’s robust video platform, which serves a monthly audience of over 28 million US unique viewers. 5min Media is also the No. 1 provider of online health videos for consumers, patients, and practitioners with a monthly reach of approximately 9 million unique viewers, according to comScore.
ITV is focused on expanding viewership and brand awareness for the newly launched consumer site HealthScienceChannel.com. Joining the company of major media brands including Scripps, Hearst (UGO), among others, HealthScienceChannel.com is a good strategic fit for 5Min Media’s health channel which now encompasses over 12,000 videos. Overall, 5min Media captures over 50 percent of the health video market, which makes it over 2.5 times larger than WebMD and over 8 times larger than Everyday Health.
